How the estimate is built
The calculator starts from a base paste weight for each area — fingertips only, one hand, both hands, both hands and feet, or a full bridal arms-and-legs design — based on typical coverage for that area. It then applies a density multiplier for how solid the fill is: a simple outline needs far less paste than a heavily layered bridal motif over the same skin.
Dividing the resulting paste weight by your cone size (25g standard, or a custom size) gives the number of cones, always rounded up so you don’t run out mid-pattern.

How much paste does a standard henna cone hold?
A typical hand-rolled or plastic henna cone holds about 25 grams of paste, though some artists roll larger cones with 35–40 grams for bigger fills. This calculator lets you set your own cone size.
